Once again this past month was filled with exploration to the North Woods.This time I headed to Grand Marias, MN for a week long residency at the Grand Marais Artist Colony. I spent my days photographing and sketching waterfalls scattered along the North Shore of Lake Superior. In the evening, I retreated to the warm printshop where I experimented with color and new printmaking techniques. It was an amazing time away and great to focus on nature and my artistic practice. The added bonus was meeting my studio mate and the staff at the Artist Colony.
